Nigeria Professional Football League side FC Ifeanyi Ubah have been crowned the South East/South South pre-Season tourney champions.
The Anambra Warriors defeated Rivers United 3-2 to emerge winners of the maiden edition of the pre-season tourney at the Ifeanyi Ubah international stadium in Nnewi on Friday evening.
Surprisingly, Ifeanyi Ubah’s Malachy Ohaume scored all the three goals that sealed the win for the Mitko Dobrev-led side.
Emeka Atuloma gave the Pride of Rivers the lead in the 15th minute before Ohaume scored to level scores.
In the 55th minute, Ohaume netted brace to overturn United.
27 minutes later, Guy Kueiman found the back of the net to equalise for Rivers United.
In the stoppage time of the game, Ohaume then fired the Nnewi side into the lead again to complete his hat-trick.
