Kwara United and Kano Pillars recorded a goalless draw in the Matchday two of 5th Gold Cup Preseason Tournament played at the Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin.
Both sides created wonderful scoring chances but were unlucky to find target couple with heroic saves by goalkeepers.
First half couldn't not recorded much talking moments until the closing stages when Kwara United almost find target but were denied by good defensive play from Pillars when Issah Mogaji's cross was blocked by Pillars defender.
Kwara United's next effort came from Bright Ejike in a promising way but went inches wide.
Idris Aloma's curling free kick from close range went close to give Pillars the lead with four minute to end half but Akeem Onigbari arrived on time to clear the line for the Harmony Boys.
Kwara upped their game on resumption as Olamide Mudashiru tried a long shot meters away from the box but Pillars goalkeeper, Danladi Isah pulled a great save to corner.
Isah was called to action moments afterwards when Isah Mogaji audacious effort from way out of the box was smartly parried wide by plus size goalkeeper.
Kwara United were enjoying moments of dominance till 10 minutes to end the game with Pillars pushed to the back.
The Pyramid Boys effected changes in the attack with Manu Garba and Adamu Hassan replacing Nwagua Nyima and Bala Yusuf.
The changes proved to be positive as Pillars regained control and push for goal.
Kwara United goalkeeper, Abdullateef Ishola dived full length to deny Manu Garba a goal opportunity.
