Rangers eye loan deal for Umar Sadiq

RANGERS hope to conclude a deal to bring Roma striker Umar Sadiq in on loan, NaijaSportsplanet reports.

Boss Steven Gerrard made his seventh signing of the summer on Thursday as defender Jon Flanagan completed a move from Liverpool.

And Gerrard is now on the verge of bolstering his attacking options as he looks to clinch a deal for Sadiq.

The 6ft 4in Umar spent the second half of last season on loan at NAC Breda and scored five goals in 13 games.

The 21-year-old could make the move to Ibrox and have the chance to impress under Gerrard’s guidance.

If he completes his move, Umar will join Scott Arfield, Allan McGregor, Jamie Murphy, Ovie Ejaria, Connor Goldson, Jon Flanagan and Nikola Katic in signing for the club this summer.
