Isaac Success insists Watford will not get carried away with their strong start to the season and is keen to guard against complacency, NaijaSportsPlanet reports.
A 1-1 draw against Fulham last week Saturday saw Aleksandar Mitrovic cancel out Andre Gray’s early opener, kept Watford fourth in the table after six Premier League games.
Success replaced Gray to play the final 10 minutes at Craven Cottage and has repeatedly been used from the bench by Javi Gracia this season.
The 22-year-old Nigerian has spoken of the importance of Watford keeping their feet on the ground if they are to carry on their current vein of form.
“Things are going well but we’ve not achieved anything yet plus there is still a long way to go in the league,” Success said.
“We are all rowing in the same boat and must carry on with humility because if we believe we are superior then we could start to make mistakes.” Former VV Venlo stated.
Success has had to be patient this season, with his only start of the campaign coming in the 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Reading.
He opened the scoring in that game and has been a useful squad member in helping Watford see games out in the Premier League.
Javi Gracia is likely to turn to Success once more tonight as Watford take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup (kick-off 8pm).
