Conte keen on striker reinforcement

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has hinted he is keen on adding an attacking player to his squad following reports of a January move for Andy Carroll.

The Blues have struggled up front this season and are the lowest-scoring team in the Premier League’s current top-five, with off-season signing Alvaro Morata failing to reach his potential after arriving from Real Madrid.

Chelsea have since been tipped with an interest in West Ham striker Carroll, and while refusing to drop any names, Conte admits he is keen to strengthen his forward options before the end of the month.

"I am very happy to work with my players and I'm very happy with the commitment of my players,” said the Blues boss.

"The club knows very well the positions we can improve.

“Now there is a transfer market. If there is a possibility to find a good solution to improve the squad I think the club knows very well my opinion."
