Bobby Abel of FC Taraba made it a sweet debut in the Glo Premier League when he scored the first goal of the 2013/14 Glo Premier League (NPFL) season in the 1-0 win over Nasarawa United on Saturday.
It
was the first time that the crowd in Jalingo will witness a Premier
League game, and the early strike ensured the fans went home happy.
Nasarawa
United, who barely escaped demotion into the lower league last season,
had arrived Jalingo with the intent of using their experience in the top
league to get something from the newcomers, but were met by an equally
determined side.
